On July 22,
1953, the very first production Triumph (TS1) was born at Banner Lane in
Coventry. On June 19, 20 and 21st, 2003, the Triumph Register of America
celebrated TS1šs fiftieth birthday at the annual TRA National Meet
in wonderful Auburn, Indiana!

The
majority of Joe's painstakingly accurate restoration of TS1 was
completed in just a little over 18 months with the support and help of
Dottie Richards and the encouragement of John Saunders. This car
is a valuable piece of Triumph history, and Joe's restoration was an
amazing accomplishment. It is difficult to describe here how many
parts needed to be refabricated, recreated, or retooled from other TR2's
to get this car back to its original condition as displayed at the 1953
Toronto Motor Show. No one can truly appreciate the countless
hours of loving attention to detail that Joe has wrapped up into this
restoration, not to mention his own financial resources. The
Triumph community is forever grateful to Joe Richards for all of his
hard work, dedication and fine craftsmanship. TS1 is a real
