TRA NATIONAL MEET 2017 ANNOUNCED!
TRA Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Columbus, Indiana, has been selected
as the location for the TRA National Meet, June 21-24, 2017. While Columbus might not be the
first city you think of when Indiana is mentioned, the Columbus area combines a small town feel
with an abundance of big city amenities and scenic driving opportunities on winding country roads,
all of which make it a perfect location for a TRA National Meet.
Those of us who attend TRA every year are already excited about the fun to be had at the 2017 National Meet,
and we can’t wait for June to share it with our TRA family. For folks who have not attended for awhile, 2017
is the year that you will want to return. Those who have never attended a TRA National Meet, 2017 is going to
be the best time to start a new tradition for yourself, your family, and your Triumph. We hope to see all of
you in June 2017, back again in Indiana!

The host hotel
The Hilton Garden Inn near Edinburgh, Indiana, is one of the nicest properties to ever host a TRA national event. Some of the
highlights are a clean and modern facility with spacious rooms and adjustable beds, a full service restaurant and bar, and both indoor and
outdoor areas for relaxing conversations or late night parties with your TRA friends. Meeting rooms are large enough for the famous
TRA Auction and Awards Banquet, and the board has negotiated a room rate which includes a hot, cooked-to-order breakfast for each
room occupant. Watch the TRA website www.TriumphRegister.com for information regarding the opening of the room block, and
additional information will be printed in the next TRA newsletter.
Indianapolis 500 Speedway Museum
Speaking of the Indianapolis 500, a trip to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and museum
is planned, and a simple route via non-congested surface streets that are ideal for our
TR’s has already been determined.
Close to hotel
There is no shortage of eateries in the area, including most of the familiar national restaurants and
several local favorites, many within walking distance from the Hilton Garden Inn.
Like to shop?
The Edinburgh Factory Outlets are right across the street, and if you prefer old “junk” to the new
fferings of the factory outlet stores, there are two large antique malls nearby. The artisan community
of Nashville, Indiana, is a scenic 35 minute drive where you will find a multitude of quaint shops
and unique offerings near the entrance to beautiful Brown County State Park.
Activities are plentiful in the Columbus area, and will be scheduled so that you can do as much
or as little as you would like. Options are as varied as a self-guided architectural tour of Columbus,
a visit to the Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum, and a tour of the Cummins Diesel engine assembly
plant and the Cummins museum which features a 1934 Cummins Diesel powered
Indianapolis 500 race car.
